Starting a Small Business 101

The North Central Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Central Lakes College is partnering with Pine County HRA-EDA and the cities of Hinckley, Pine City, and Sandstone to offer a new Pine County Small Business Series this fall. The no-cost workshop series is designed to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with practical tools and guidance to help them start, manage, transition, and grow their businesses.

All workshops will be held at the Pine County Courthouse and are open to current and aspiring business owners. Participants can register online at www.northcentralsbdc.com/workshops-and-events.

On September 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., North Central SBDC Regional Director Katie Heppner will lead Starting a Small Business 101. The session is geared toward individuals with a business idea who are unsure where to begin and will walk participants through the basic steps of starting a business in Minnesota, along with guidance on strategic growth, financing, and realistic marketing planning.
